The woman arrested for the double murder at Inxiweni Primary School has been identified as Mokgadi Shongwe 26-year-old , a finance clerk at the school.
The suspect is accused of orchestrating the killings of Principal Nozibele Tabu (58) and Administrative Assistant Nobantu Njombini (55), who were gunned down inside the administration block on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.
According to reports, the suspect allegedly hired hitmen after she was questioned about the suspicious transfer of R52 750 from the school’s bank account into her personal account.
She was arrested on Wednesday night, 19 November 2025, and is set to make her first court appearance at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court, where she faces two counts of murder.
Police have confiscated her phone and laptop as part of an ongoing investigation. The second suspect was arrested on Friday and further arrests have not been ruled out.
