
The Mokopane Regional Court has on Wednesday convicted and sentenced Solomon Chiloane(34) for 8 years of direct imprisonment for possession of stolen property .
Chiloane was arrested in an Intelligence driven operation conducted by Provincial tracking team through the help of Tshimollo security and investigation, Shadowsecure security, and Tracker Connect on 14th July 2025.
The court noted that the accused was found driving Toyota Hilux club cab high raised body on the R101 entering Mokopane.
A case of possession of stolen property was opened and assigned to The Provincial Investigation Unit for further investigations
Through their industrious investigations Chiloane remained in custody after his attempt to be released on bail was denied.
The court didn’t consider that the accused was the 1st offender and he was sentenced to direct imprisonment.
The sentence will act as diterent to others who want to be involved in this kind of crimes
