The town of Lebowakgomo under Lepelle-Nkumpi is set to benefit from an ambitious multi billion rand project that is earmarked to transform the area.
Lepelle Nkumpi Mayor, Dr Merriam Molala says the project will be built on 160 hectares of land and will attract more than 500 new businesses that will be investing around 5 to 7 billion rands into the municipality and create 5 000 to 10 000 jobs.
The Municipality has pledged to putting up all the infrastructure that is required in the area such as water, roads, wastewater and electricity among others.
The Municipality is set to invest R500 million into the project while R2 billion will come from the business sector.
An investment conference on the 21st of November 2025 which will turn into a sod turning for the town’s development.
Limpopo as a province has recently received a staggering R170 Billion in pledges from various businesses in the recently concluded Investment Conference.
