Anti-corruption activist Paul O’Sullivan has made a shocking revelation, telling Parliament that he once spoke Afrikaans fluently but lost the language after surviving an attempt on his life.
O’Sullivan said he originally came to South Africa to learn Afrikaans. During the hearing, Honourable James attempted to interview him in Afrikaans and questioned why he could not respond, suggesting he had never learned the language as previously claimed.
In a startling moment, O’Sullivan explained that a past assassination attempt left him with a serious brain injury, resulting in memory loss including his ability to speak Afrikaans.
