Well-known Lekompo artist DJ Takkie was involved in a car accident at Tipeng late last night while returning from one of his gigs in Uitzicht.
According to information received, the vehicle DJ Takkie was driving collided with a donkey that was on the road. It is further reported that the artist lost control of the car after being momentarily blinded by bright lights from an oncoming vehicle, which affected his visibility.
DJ Takkie was traveling with one passenger at the time of the accident. The artist sustained injuries and has since been admitted to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, the passenger was not injured.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still being assessed.
