The police in Limpopo have arrested three male suspects aged between 25 and 36 in connection with a kidnapping and carjacking case reported on 11 December 2025 in Burgersfort, under the Sekhukhune District.
It is alleged that the suspects kidnapped a male victim around Burgersfort town and subsequently demanded a ransom from his family. The victim was swiftly rescued following intensive investigations by police, while the suspects fled the scene with his vehicle, a white Toyota Corolla, white in colour with MP registration plates.

The suspects are currently detained at Burgersfort SAPS and are expected to appear before the Burgersfort Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 22 December 2025, facing charges of kidnapping, carjacking, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has commended the members involved for their swift, coordinated, and professional response, reiterating SAPS’s commitment to decisively combat serious and violent crime in the province.
