
Six suspects, aged between 19 and 38, were arrested in the Acornhoek area during a disruptive operation conducted by police members on Tuesday, 16 December 2025.
During the exercise, dedicated law enforcement members apprehended the suspects for various offences, including contravention of the Immigration Act of South Africa, possession of illicit cigarettes, and possession of dagga.
The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by police and other law enforcement agencies to combat all forms of criminality. During the operation, various alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, and dagga were seized.
Detectives are working collaboratively with officials from the Department of Home Affairs to ascertain the status of the arrested suspects.
The suspects were charged accordingly and are expected to appear at the Acornhoek Magistrate’s Court soon.
