POLOKWANE: A second suspect, aged 30, was arrested during the early hours of Thursday, 04 December 2025, at Shongoane 01 in Lephalale in connection with the murder and robbery incident that occurred at a farm in the Tolwe policing area.
This arrest follows just days after the apprehension of the first suspect on Tuesday, 02 December 2025.
The brutal attack resulted in the death of 77-year-old Mr Attie Mahne, who was found tied up and unconscious inside his farmhouse.
He was certified dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services (EMS). A reported stolen firearm was recovered.
The 2nd suspect is expected to appear before the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 05 December 2025.
The 1st suspect on this matter, Hendrick Chimule appeared in Tolwe periodical court on Thursday and the matter has been postponed to the 2026/01/29 for further investigation. He will remain in custody.
The Police investigations are continuing.
