GA – MASEMOLA : Raputu and Bapela families from Sepakapakeng and Magagatala villages have been left in mourning following the tragic death two people.
The duo allegedly lost their lives following a lightning strike at Magagatala and in Sepakapakeng villages in Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality in Ga – Sekhukhune.
The tragic incidents happened separately on Thursday, 20 November.
In a statement by the African National Congress in Sekhukhune region, the two have been identified as Shaku Raputu Treki from Sepakapakeng and Bapela Mmahlahle from Magagamatala.
Sekhukhune District Mayor, visited both families in her capacity as the ANC Regional Chairperson.
The duo are expected to be laid to rest this coming weekend.
The Fetakgomo Tubatse has experienced severe thunderstorms, excessive lightning and heavy downpours that have resulted in flooding and damage of structure over the past week.
