A 42 year old former police officer who made headlines in 2023 after a sexually explicit video clip of her and biological son were leaked, has been sentenced to eight years in prison.The officer who was stationed at Groblersdal police station at the time , was found guilty and sentenced by a South African high court sitting in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.She was charged with three counts,sexual assault , production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
The court heard that the former officer had spiritual problems and consulted a foreign national sangoma.The sangoma told her to bath her then 12 year old son in 2020 to bath her biological son with traditional medicines she got from the sangoma.She was then instructed to simulate in sexual activities with the boy , use her cell phone to record the acts and sent the clip to the sangoma.
This was part of a ritual to cleans her of bad luck and misfortune.In 2023 then the sangoma blackmail her with video demanding money from her.The video clip was leaked the same year by the fake sangoma.She then handed herself to the police and she’s been in jail for two years during the trial.She court also heard that she has been cooperating from the beginning and she also pleaded guilty.
