The residents under Bushbuckridge local municipality in Mpumalanga has welcomed rain in their villages but as usual their happiness was cut short as they are struggling to move around due to bad roads.
During rainy season, the villagers from Township, Graigburn, Wales, Zoeknog, Majembeng and Chochocho are struggling to excess medical needs. In ward 32, Zoeknog village a road construction has been affected by heavy rain on Thursday the 30 of October 2025. Meanwhile in Violetbank bank Bafaladi, a road that was build few years ago has disappeared into thin air. The road costed millions of rands but motorist are opting to use gravel instead of this tyre road.
Many of the villagers including grade 12 students residing under north region have struggled this morning on their way to school due to bad roads in North region under Bushbuckridge local municipality. Some have to cross flooded rivers on their way to write final exams. North region has been forgotten for years by the municipality.
