Gomora’s most-watched drama series has seen itself trending in the wake of Don’s exit from Mzansi’s Magic. Seasoned actor Israel Matseke-Zulu played the on-screen character of Don.

The showrunners have since confirmed that Don won’t be part of the drama series after his character was killed. Don was shot at point-blank by his wife Zodwa character played by Sannah Mchunu.

We can all agree that he has the plug and the bling too. Don had fast become the face of the drama series with his unmatched talent. No doubt Mzansi has been connecting the dots about why he left the show. Of interest is the fact that why would one go the show barely making a return appearance.

The actor has weighed into his exit saga with his side of the story in the mix of things. Speaking to the media, Masteke-Zulu has it that he was forced to let go of his on-screen character of Don on Gomora.

However, he revealed that he was sick, but the illness worsened soon after joining the show. Zulu did indicate that his medical condition is gangrene and has made one of his legs immobile.

“The reason I am leaving the show is that I am sick. I decided to leave the show because I saw it was becoming difficult for me to walk.”

However, he pulled a shocker when he revealed that he was using a wheelchair to get on set during his last scenes. In the wake of his exit, little is known if he will remain part of the production crew.
