DUSTY ROAD DAMAGES RESIDENT HEALTH

As we celebrate freedom day on the 27 April some resident in Sedawa villagers in Gasekororo feel that but there is no change that the democracy has brought to their lives.

Its alleged that that in 2008 there was a tender for the road in the Sedawa Cross area to Mabins A and a contract was awarded. According to the source the Municipality failed to continue with the Maintenance as the contractor has done manual hand.

The contractor levelled the road by removing the old taor road that had potholes from Sedawa cross till Mabins A. It has been 4-6 years since the resident were left with gravel road. Since 2014 maruleng municipal promise resident to fixed the road but it has never happened. Resident who stay next to the road can not even open window or do washing because of powerful dust. Its alleged that the Maruleng Municipality will only send TLB to fix the road during election campaign.

Drivers need to drive carefully as the small road between Ga-mametja is having a powerful dust that causess horrible accident every month this month More than two accident occur when kanana baycarye collided a head on at Mandela village and another collision happened next to queen taven when two white bakkie collided with another one at the back. Most resident are suffering with lungs infection because of the dusty road.
