World TB day " Clock is ticking "

Today, 24 March is the World TB Day and its celebrated around the world under the theme “The clock is ticking”. Multicare supports the campaign to spread awareness on Tuberculosis.

A total of 1.4 million people died from TB in 2019 including 208 000 people with HIV. TB is one of the 10 causes of death and a leading cause from single infection above HIV/AIDS.

TB can be cured. Go to your nearest clinic, get screened and tested for TB and HIV if you experience continuous coughing for more than two weeks, unexplained weight loss, night sweats and fever. Take treatment as soon as you test positive, anyone on TB treatment, must complete it for 6 months without any fail, even if you feel better.
