ANOTHER FORD RANGER DRIVER SURVIVED BULLETS

Department of Health in Limpopo has condemns an incident in which personnel and patients were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown men on the N1 not too far from Mantsole WeighBridge on 04 March 2021. This is after a Planned Patient Transport that was transporting patients from Nkhensani and Maphutha Malatji Hospital in Mopani to George Mkhari Hospital got a punctures.

When the driver stopped to inspect the tyre, he found spikes on the tyre and immediately two men armed with guns appeared and started searching every body and took bank cards, money, cell phones and other belongings.

The vehicle was carrying 04 patients, 02 transferring nurses, and 02 EMS drivers.

Fortunately one patient had a cellphone that the thugs were unable to take and the crew managed to report the incident to the police who came and assisted them. The patients were then transported to George Mkhari Hospital by a scheduled PPT from Warmbath Hospital.
