Talani houses fraudsters arrested

The Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation members have arrested three people including a juristic person for alleged fraud of over R2.4 million in relation to Talani Housing Project in Polokwane today.

 

The suspects who include a project manager from the Housing Development Agency (35), company director (44) and her company allegedly built 40 Temporary Housing units that do not conform to the design and specifications.

 

The suspects are expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 18 December 2020 to face several counts of fraud charges. More arrests are imminent as the investigation continues.
