A person loss life during the burning of Capitec bank in MOKOPANE

A truck carrying lime plunged inside the bank on Thursday night 02 December 2020 and left one Person burnt beyond recognition on Cnr Retief and Thabo Mbeki road in Mokopane. According to the information recieved the truck which was heading South direction lost control and plunged in the nearest bank.

Five cars (sedans) were involved in the accident as the truck driver lost control, other drivers were rushed to hospital and one driver in a sedan was burnt beyond recognition.

According to information recieved from a source who was at the scene said the driver was avoiding a head-on collision with a bakkie which was turning to the East direction. The truck driver and the passenger were still trapped in the truck when emergency services arrived at the scene.

The Mogalakwena Local Municipality Mayor, Her Worship Cllr Andrina Matsemela arrived at the scene and sent her sympathy  to the drivers, passengers and the shop owners. She sent her condolences to the family who lost the loved one and speedy recovery to all who were injured.
