We write this statement following the incidence happened in Ga Mphahlele,Dithabeng village which took the life of Rebone Mphahlele.
The students movement bleeds the disturbing actions happened in GA Mphahlele Dithabaneng where a learner from Dithabaneng Primary School found dead at river side of Dithabaneng. The incident is very disappointing ,the family and the community believes that he was kidnapped on Saturday 31 October. And when the police launched a search operation he was killed and dumbed near a certain river. The incident shows that Dithabaneng is not a safe place .
The incident left us deeply wounded that is why we say let’s come together and fight crime because crime is a barrier to our future. We are destined to a future with no leaders ,no doctors, No pilots,we can’t name them all but we can loose them. There are many tragedies every day. This is not the first of its own innocent lives get lost. Approximately every week.So if we don’t put full stop to this crime then next week we will be victims.
We therefore call on department of social development to make intervention in ensuring that the mental stability of learners around the area is sustained. We also continue to please with SAPS to ensure that they continue to arrest those who take and sell drugs because drugs is one of courses of crime.
We continue to send our sincerely condolences to the family of Rebone Mphahlele. We are sharing the same pain with you as you were robbed a beacon of hope.
