The Greater Tzaneen Taxi Association operating in Khujwana village, Thabine, Lephephane and Lenyenye areas says it remains committed to providing efficient transport services to community members despite threats of violence against their members.
Earlier this week, two vehicles were torched along the Khujwana-Lephephane road in what is alleged to be ongoing taxi violence over routes. Chairperson of the association Carlton Mabitsela says their operators were chased away by a group of people in Thabine, claiming they are entitled to operate on that route.
Mabitsela says it is unclear who the owners of the two torched vehicles are but adds they remain unfazed.
