Tzaneen saps led by Brigadier Masenamela, Col, Baloyi, Lt Col Mabasa, W/O Ngobeni GP, W/O Ngobeni W, Sgt Nkoana and communications officer Sgt Nkhwashu descended to Kubyana village in Bolobedu South where they attended a community meeting at Induna Ramoshaba traditional council.
The community was urged to revive the CPF structures, attend traditional council meetings to voice their concerns and work together with the police. The tarven owners were urged to respect trading hours and not to play loud music during this times of examinations. Community Should report any act or form of criminal activities including gender based violence. People should refrain from opening cases and reconciliate at a later stage because that result to perjury.
Community complained about illegal electric connections and they were adviced to lodge formal complaints to police and eskom. The firearms amnesty extention was also laid bare for the community’s benefit.
At the end of the day it was agreed that the community and the police will work together as one fighting the common enemy which is crime. The emergency police contact numbers including the one for the station commander were given to the community.
