Suspects appeared in court in connection with murder of Grade 12 learner

The Police in Lephalale have arrested TWO (2) suspects both aged (29) who are facing charges raging from murder, attempted murder and assault GBH of Thabiso Seane a Grade 12 learner at Tielelo High School in Marapong Ext 14 township.

Sadly the deceased had just wrote his first examination of English paper 1 on the 5th November 2020. It’s alleged that the suspects stabbed a (21) year-old Grade 12 learner during an altercation that happened outside a local tavern. According the police It is alleged that the deceased was walking with his cousin when he was confronted by the suspects who accused him of stealing a cellphone.

An argument ensued and they started to fight when one of the suspects hit the deceased’s cousin with a hard object and he ran away leaving the deceased behind. The suspects continued to attack the learner(deceased) and also stabbed him with a sharp instrument throughout his body. The deceased tried to run away for his safety to his home not far from the scene but succumbed to his injuries on arrival.

Afterwards, the father of the deceased went out to investigate the incident and the suspects ran him over with a motor vehicle before they fled the scene. The suspects were traced and arrested within a short space of time and they will appear before the Lephalale magistrate court on Monday, 09 November 2020.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
