The 28 year old suspect, Fulufhelo Mathew Ramulongo arrested for Gender Based Violence (GBV) incident in the Siloam Policing area outside Thohoyandou, has appeared before the Dzanani magistrate court today, on Wednesday, 04 November 2020.
He was denied bail and his case was postponed to the 10th November 2020 for bail application and for further police investigations.
The suspect is allegedly facing a murder charge of his girlfriend, Matodzi Mandiwana after he strangled her to death on Tuesday, 03 November 2020.
It is alleged that the suspect went his girlfriend’s home at Tshavhalovhedzi location and on arrival, he started to accuse her on a number of issues. An argument ensued between the couple resulting to the suspect alledgedly strangling the woman to death before fleeing the scene.
The deceased aged 29 was later discovered inside the room by a neigbour who was visiting and notified the police.
After realising that police have launched a manhunt for his apprehension, the suspect handed himself to the Police.
