MEC OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT VISIT THE FAMILY OF A MAN WHO WAS STABBED TO DEATH BY GIRLFRIEND

Limpopo MEC for Social Development Mme. Nkakareng Rakgoale has visited the family of 28-year old Themba Mukansi who was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend. The MEC was accompanied by the Greater Tzaneen Municipality Mayor Maripe Mangena and some Councillors from the local municipality to Mokgoloboto village. The incident happened at Khujwana village after the pair allegedly had an argument.

Mukansi leaves behind his two children aged two and three. MEC Rakgoale says social workers will remain with the family during this trying period and also ensure that government assist with the burial of Mukansi as he is from a needy family. She says the incident is an indication that there is still more that needs to be done to clamp down incidents of Gender Based Violence.

 

A 21-year-old suspect, Bonane Moshwana has today appeared before the Ritavi Magistrate’s Court facing a charge of murder. She was remanded in custody until 09 November 2020 for formal bail application and further Police investigations.
