Lawrence Seshoka who briefly appeared in the Kgapane Magistrate’s Court has abandoned his bail application as he wanted to further consult his lawyer. Limpopo MEC for Social Development Mme. Nkakareng Rakgoale wants justice to prevail in the case involving a ward councillor who allegedly raped a 14-year old girl in Mokwakwaila.
It is alleged that he raped the victim after offering her a lift two weeks back. A group of ANC Women’s League also chanted outside court calling for the court not to grant bail to the suspect as he is facing serious charges. MEC Rakgoale says government wants to see an end to the Gender Based Violence that are happening in many parts of the province. He will be back in court on the 19th of November for a possible bail application.
